In 2010, Ben Tufts decided he wanted to create an event which would honor his Dad and raise money for the educational fund established in his father's memory.  Knowing what a lively and talented music scene there is right in here in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area, he looked to his friends for support, and thought a concert would be an amazing way to raise money for the fund!  The folks from Jammin Java, having known Ben for year's jumped in to support and offer their space and the event was born!

Each year the concert has grown as he has reached out to musicians he has met along the way, as he tours across the US!  Hosting two stages, one in the lobby bar, and one on the main stage, you will get a double dose of fantastic tunes!Whoever is on the stage, whether from the DMV or beyond, the music will always be amazing, and the concert experience is unlike any you have been to before!

Ben Tufts has played 300+ shows in the past two years, with over thirty bands and artists, covering most of the continental U.S.

2015 marks Ben's fifteenth year teaching percussion in the DC metro area. He maintains a private studio of approximately 50 students, while staying busy as a clinician and instructor for numerous middle and high schools in the region.
